The community is growing and exciting things are happening!

This website began with the purpose of capturing and reporting on the road work happening in our beautiful section of Peeples Valley, AZ and will continue to be updated with the ongoing maintenance and enhancement of our roads! This is the Buckhorn, Legacy & Quail Road Group site!

2023 – 2024 Update:

With our first annual meeting in January of 2023, we were able to vote and approve the annual dues, and with that, we were able to re-grade the road at the beginning of fall and are now in maintenance mode. Several neighbors have moved into their homes or at least into the neighborhood or onto their properties! So exciting every step of the way! We have our 2nd annual meeting scheduled for Saturday, January 20th, 2024 at 1pm at the Old School House, and look to add a few people to the board. See you all there!

• Summer of 2023; Continual maintenance and tractor upkeep through monsoon season.

• November 2023; rented a road grader and water tender. Watered, Re-leveled and graded the road from Quail completely around the Buckhorn Loop, resetting crowns where needed. Pulled Bar Ditches where required. Cleared culverts in all crossings. Replaced wash out soil from Mr. Fords property back onto the roadway. Repaired run-off damage in several locations including the Buckhorn Creek crossing and culverts. Completed grading and repairs from Lathrops drive to Garner’s driveway as permitted by the Waddell Family finalizing a better entrance to Montegues driveway.

• January/February 2024; Plowed snow and removed snow accumulations in several locations. Maintained surfaces after snow storms.

• April 2024; Utilized bulldozer and landplane to reshape the most traveled part of Buckhorn in prep for material delivery.

• June/July 2024; Took delivery of 110 tons of road base material from Got Rocks company. Placed and spread material from the “Y” on Buckhorn to Lathrop’s driveway finally remediating the worst part of Buckhorn by covering the clay deposits. This eliminates the hazardous road conditions caused by the muddy/slippery surface and creating an all weather surface providing year round access for public safety resources to respond into our subdivision.

• July 2024; Reshaped roadway with skid steer and landplane.

We will continue to improve our website, with the activities that the board and others are doing to keep our community safe & maintained, with pictures, discussions and a place to submit our comments, ideas and thanks!
