We are working through prep-work and reconstruction of the road.
Beginning today, March 1st, we will install the culvert on Quail, realign the drainage and begin to shape the roadway.
We will progress up the road installing culvert, removing and replacing them where required and continue to reshape, widen and pushing the brush back.
This is all initially rough work until the last culvert is installed/adjusted just past Judy and Glen Garner’s Residence.
The contractor will then begin the process of final shaping and grading then compacting, beginning at the top of Buckhorn, working his way back down towards the bottom.
They will finish with quail, load up and demobilize. The purpose of this is to prevent anyone from driving too fast on the road from the bottom up while the contractor is still on site working.
There are a lot of moving parts, and we may require a detour in the Wednesday-Thursday time frame, but the contractor is confident they may be able to keep the road open during their work.
The first culvert should be in and buried by noon!
